Boneyard Cycling started in 2010 encouraging cycling and supporting the local community through sponsor promotion and volunteerism. Our purpose is to enjoy riding bikes, support local businesses, and create a positive influence in the community. In 2013 Boneyard Cycling continues to encourage the local cycling community with racing, riding, and volunteering. This team is a growing force supporting entry-level riders, securing podium finishes and volunteering throughout the area. Team officers include; Andy Barram, Melodie Buell, Rob Kerr, Kern Reynolds, Chris Sterry, and Chuck Thomas.
Participation in the team increases the value for everyone. All team activity helps sponsors and their support will provide stronger support for the team. The more you invest in the team now, the more value we have to sponsors, and the more support we will earn. Being a member of the team is about being with us and a representative for the sponsors. If you just want the cool jersey then go buy one at the brewery. Team members should be motivated by camaraderie, racing, and support of the community.
Boneyard Cycling is composed of a Race team and a Club team. To maintain the team culture and maximize sponsor support across both levels the Race team is invitation, while the Club team allows open enrollment during March and September. The Club squad is an avenue for members to demonstrate their desire for future invitation to the Race team.

Code of Conduct:
Boneyard Cycling is diverse; some are out to win, some are out to test themselves, some just want to have fun. Despite the coolness associated with team membership, maintaining humility is expected.
Team members will register with the Oregon Bicycle Racing Association with their team name as “Boneyard Cycling.” Race team members will participate in at least 8 races and volunteer 5 times. Club members will race at least 2 times and volunteer 2 times. Race and Volunteer activities shall be reported to team officer Chuck Thomas. All members are expected to join in on team rides and social activities (Race = 5, Club = 2). Members will wear the current team kit (both jersey & shorts) when racing and encouraged to wear jerseys whenever possible in training and in recreation rides.
Sponsor benefits are intended for the team members; sponsorship gifts and support shall not be used for resale or personal monetary gain. The team shall present good sportsmanship and a respectful attitude at cycling and non-cycling events when representing Boneyard Cycling or team sponsors. Team members agree to represent the team and sport of cycling in a positive manner by aspiring to obey all racing rules and traffic laws. Violations of these standards or acting like a jerk may result in membership revocation through a vote of the team Officers.
Members attempt to participate in team activities when feasible, and support one another in races. Volunteering for community charitable activities or races is expected.
Boneyard Cycling is about having fun. Our purpose is to enjoy riding our bicycles, support local businesses, and create a positive influence in the community. It is not a racer-only group. We enjoy riding our bicycles. Some race, some ride in charity events, some commute, some just ride.
Members are expected to have fun, wear the team gear and support our sponsors. Volunteerism, racing, and riding are all encouraged. We support the international work of World Bicycle Relief and local groups advocating cycling and healthy lifestyle. If you would like to join us, click here for more info
